A litte effort makes a big difference
The aim of the programme is to encourage residents and businesses in the Ballyphehane area to adopt their own street or square and take responsibility to keep it clean and free from litter. We aim to create a cleaner and more pleasant environment for everyone who live and work in Ballyphehane and help to enhance local community ties between neighbours, business, and families in the area and restore civic pride in the area.
We are happy to provide pickers, gloves and Hi Vis vests to volunteers to help them get started. So far we have had a great response from the local community, we have volunteers of all ages, big and small who are thoroughly enjoying the experience. Ballyphehane is a large area, so we are always looking for extra hands. By volunteering you can help make a difference and foster a sense of community spirit.
